The president and government are working very hard to make sure that Americans can stay in their home and avoid foreclosure. Sometimes it is very difficult to make ends meet financially in the current economy. There is no one to blame as the economy as a whole fell apart. Do not blame yourself as there are many people in shoes very similar to yours. The step you need to take is an action step to get your mortgage modified.
You have probably seen advertisements all over the Internet and television for companies that offer assistance in getting a mortgage loan modification. Most of these ads offer an 800 number for you to call and contact a representative. While you may not want to give the representative all of your financial information, it might be smart to at least give them a call and see what they can do for you. You never know, they might be able to greatly lower your mortgage payment and also help you get out of debt!
